FALL 2020 COLLECTION
NOVEMBER 2020
This collection was the official launch of CassB Bridal, which is a newer division of CassB by Design that caters to the modern bride. This collection was designed to showcase both bridal and a look into luxury fashion as well. This was also my first collaborative collection where I teamed up with Hunter Morton (menswear designer).
SPRING 2020 COLLECTION
APRIL 2020
This collection was designed with a pastel color pallet inspiration. This collection was to be my senior collection as I finished my last year at UNCG. Due to the unexpected COVID-19, all of my senior showcases were canceled. None the less, this collection lives though here.
BIG HAIR BALL
JANUARY 2020
This charity fashion show hosted by family Service of the Peidmont was held at the Grandover resort and was comprised of local designers, hair and makeup artists, sponsors, and models. This year, the theme for the show was national landmarks. Tasked with creating three looks, I worked with three separate teams to create looks inspired by the Library of Congress, the Palace of Versailles, and the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah. After all was said and done, two of my three designs made the cover of the local news paper as well as Chanel 2 news the following day.
14TH ANNUAL SPRING FASHION SHOW
APRIL 2019
UNCG Threads club presents the 14th Annual Spring Fashion Show. This year the show's theme was Nature. The show was split up into three sections: Unconventional Challenge, Theme, and Collections. Thus, my spring collections this year is split up into three sections featuring a dress made out of moss, dresses inspired by flowers, and a collection titled ever green inspired by earth tones and a gold flare.
BIG HAIR BALL
JANUARY 2019
The Big Hair Ball of Greensboro always has an overarching theme. This year, the theme was Muses of The Sea. I was assigned to Bethany Medical Care as my sponsors and given the muses Sea Feathers, Sea Anemone, and Snowflake Jellyfish. By collaborating with three different model assistants, hair stylists, make-up artists, and models, we left that evening having won Best Hair and Most Creative Student Designer awards.
PINK POWER
OCTOBER 2018
This year's Pink Power collection was inspired by an accordion pleated fabric that caught my eye. Knowing how I could manipulate the fabric, I set out to create three cohesive looks that very clearly incorporated the the fabrics I wanted between the varying pieces. While working with this fabric paired with a neoprene I was introduced to new methods of hemming clothes for any given desired finished look. The short cocktail dress hem was burned to create a voluminous look at the edge but keep the shape of the crisp plates. The neoprene, I found, didn't require hemming because of how the fabric was woven. Every collection is forever a learning experience.
13TH ANNUAL SPRING FASHION SHOW
APRIL 2018
This Collection was designed in three categories: unconventional, themed, and collection. The Unconventional challenge dress was made completely out of recycled materials; cardboard and cut up CDs. This was modeled by Elizabeth Hulin. Two of the garments, dark blue with light blue ruffles modeled by Erin Myer and light blue dress with pleats and ribbons modeled by Cassidy Burel were designed for the themed portion of the show. The theme was "Under the Sea". Finally, the light blue velvet dress and all the male models modeled looks in a collection portion titled Ecart. The purpose of this collection was to display a fine taste of evening-wear.
BIG HAIR BALL
JANUARY 2018
This single piece collection was the first I have submitted to The Big Hair Ball Fashion Show held in Downtown Greensboro. This year's theme was the Circus. Thus, the idea to include feathers was born. My sponsor for this event was Albion associates who also shot all the photos for the event. One of the tasks as a designer was to incorporate the sponsor within the design in an innovative way. I chose to include the Albion logo by hand beading it onto the bodice, then beading again but selected horizontally and inverted to create symmetry within the look. With the help of the rest of the Albion team, we won Best Over All Design Student and Best Incorporation of the Sponsor Student.
PINK POWER
OCTOBER 2017
The 3rd Annual Pink Power Fashion Show for Breast Cancer Awarness was held this year on UNCG's campus. A big portion of the show is to create looks that incorporate an excessive amount of pink. Hand beading was a technique I decided to learn for this show. Which resulted in this luxurious and expensive 2-piece collection.
12TH ANNUAL SPRING FASHION SHOW
APRIL 2017
Threads presents their annual spring fashion show. This year the theme was 100 years of fashion. I chose two looks to participate within the theme portion that are very clearly inspired by the late 50's era. The third look was designated for the unconventional challenge. This year, the challenge was to create an outfit using materials from a hardware store. The finished product is made entirely out of paint card samples from Lowes and Home Depot.
